“I am on a quest to find the perfect C string for my Viola . I already have Dominants on the other strings, which are OK, but the C string is very "Woofy" or growly and buzzy , not the sound I have heard and which I strive for . Like most popular strings the Dominants are metal wound on synthetic core. The Jargar is different, being metal wound on steel core. i though this might give a brighter, more focussed sound. To be honest the effect isn't that different to the Dominants, but certainly acceptable, and much cheaper ! Perhaps i need a new Viola (it's only an el Cheapo Chinese? instrument. Or a better player. That is harder to achieve.”
