GRAPE VARIETY 100% Pedro Ximénez TASTING NOTES The 3 Miradas Vino de Pueblo is a combination of 100% Pedro Ximénez grapes from plots located in the Riofrío Alto and Cerro Macho in the Sierra de Montilla. The Tres Miradas project is the latest collaboration between Bodegas Alvear & Envinate. It represents a goal of the Alvear family and Envinate to express the terroir that has been historically known as the Sierra de Montilla, with a winemaking approach that focuses more on the vineyard and less on the ageing process in the cellar. The Tres Miradas Vino de Pueblo, classified as a village wine in the Burgundian classification, is a selection of grapes a variety of plots that are directly pressed without maceration and fermented in tinajas, traditional concrete amphora of 4800L. The wine is aged under the "velo de flor" for eight months before bottling. 3 Miradas Vino de Pueblo it’s a dry wine with a compelling sensory arc of muskmelon, preserved lemons, walnut skin, ginger, and dusky earth. Medium-bodied, the texture is very much what one might expect from concrete-ageing, a tensile spine of arching acidity wends its way to a close of apricot kernel and fleur de sel. Intended to reflect the region’s “grand cru parcels”, it’s a modern style inspired by Niepoort’s unfortified wines, and sourced from three different parcels in La Viña de Antoñín, El Garrotal, and Cerro Macho. FOOD PAIRING Excellent aperitif and as an accompaniment to salads, sushi, Asian dishes, grilled fish, seafood and rice dishes. 13% ABV / 750ml / Contains Sulphites

Good morning Mark, Thank you for taking the time to review our new addition to the Basco wine cellar, " Alvear 3 Miradas Vino de Pueblo 2020!" The wine does have a unique flavour being created with 100% Pedro Ximenez grapes that has distinct similarities to a Sherry flavour being how it's made and I can understand if you didn't enjoy the wine which I'm sorry to read was the case with yourself. I know looking through the past orders you are a loyal customer of Basco and I appreciate your feedback that with any new product we are eager to understand how it is received and we will continue to monitor this. We all tried the product when looking to introduce it to our range and we enjoyed the taste, particularly with fresh fish where the wine came to its own with it being a perfect match !! Thank you again for your feedback and loyal custom. Kind regards Miles
