Our Galician Whole Beef Fillet is sourced from the highest quality beef in Galicia, Northwest Spain. We only use retired dairy cows between 8 and 12 years old, which are chubbier and have a higher percentage fat content, giving the fillet a distinct and unique flavour. The beef is dry-aged for a minimum of 7 days, allowing for natural grass-fed marbling. This lean, mean, and tender cut is prized for its quality and can be enjoyed as steaks or a roast.

“The most flavoursome fillet you will ever taste. Price is so good because it comes whole and you need to trim and cut it yourself. But its not hard and the quality and flavour of this fillet is second to none! A must try for all steak and fillet lovers. You will never buy an ordinary fillet again after tasting this. Offcuts can be used to make a tartar, fat can be rendered down to make roast potatoes. No wastage, and an amazing product!”

“As always with Basco, superb quality and nearly 3 kg of fillet goes a long way. So far the trimmings have made a lovely beef stroganoff, and steaks and large pieces suitable for a wellington in the freezer. Highly recommend.”

“A little butchery required but managed to make 4 individual beef wellington, 1 piece of roasted fillet & 2 x 500g bags of trimmed for casserole now in the freezer with the trimmings roasted off in the air fryer for the fat (roasties) then the dog & hubby got to eat the cooked bits!”
