“These come in a raw sanded state. They were stained by anything that touched them. We treated them with wax which has worked really well. Makes them darker in colour but no longer stain. Very comfortable attractive chairs - we love them but it should be made clear on website that they need further work before use.”
“Beautiful and very comfortable chairs. I love them. All four chairs now have an osmo hard wax coating on them to protect the surface. I liked that they came raw, unvarnished and smoothly sanded wood. That way you can select the type coating you wish to have. Mine have a clear satin finish that never needs to be sanded, if they need redoing. I was disappointed when two of the chairs arrived damaged directly from the manufacturers, but they were replaced without fuss.”
“Courier broke the chair that was ordered. But Barker and Stonehouse was very prompt in organising a quick replacement, no problem, which was appreciated. And the second courier was excellent and brought it inside and unpacked it (the packing is very thorough). The chair is lovely, nice design and very nicely made, just what was required.
