“This barbie was sold to me along side a video demonstration of the barbie talking. My daughter asked me for a talking barbie for Christmas and I thought this was perfect. On Christmas day the barbie was a real disappointment especially to my daughter who was very upset because barbie did not talk and only made some music and breath sounds. I reached out and was told that this was not a fault and that all these barbie do not infact talk. On my hunt to find an ACTUAL talking version of this barbie for my daughter I saw listings from bargain max on both Amazon and eBay both also confirmed the barbie does not talk. I felt very misled by the listing and raised this as a complaint, I was offered to return the doll or keep it for a partial refund. As my daughter now had a talking barbie and this barbie (her only two Barbies owned) she now did not want to get rid of the "sister" barbie. So I was left with only an option for partial refund. Which was a mere £4 odd, after having paid £16.99 for the item. I didn't understand why bargain max would not issue a full refund given that the product was not in a re-saleable condition anyway, and given the very blatant mis-selling of the product. Communication was dismissive and poor, it took several attempts for me to fight for any solution at all, and I also had to fight to request they remove the video showing the barbie talking to avoid it happening to someone else. I would not recommend buying from this company, given lack of trust in the items they sell being true to a description, and then because of the poor customer service. Let alone the product not being what we wanted and ruining my 5 year olds main Christmas present (the only thing she asked for from Santa!) The video of her I have opening is heartbreaking because she literally cried, "but I wanted a talking one " very unimpressed at their lack of care for this and so frustrated at how difficult they made the whole situation for me, spending the new year in back and forth emails and only now (end of Jan) finally getting a "solution" which wasn't really a solution at all but apparently it's all they can offer me and I'm so done dealing with their customer service team it's not even worth any more of my time. Please don't buy this item. Or any items from bargain max, direct or through resellers. ✌”
