All of the flies we supply we have successfully fished with ourselves and have found them to be long lasting and excellent immitations. “Hi I have been a supporter and purchased many products from Barbless Flies since their conception. The products and service they provide are second to none. (That’s not to say you can’t get equally good service and products from other dealers) But, I have no complaints whatsoever and what I like is that Barbless Flies provide education and detailed advice on aspects of all fly fishing for free! The book is a little bedside gem and also you can pop it in the fishing bag for reference on the Bankside.”

“Useful little pocket-sized primer focusing on flies, leaders, other equipment and general rivercraft for early season fishing. Probably best for relatively inexperienced anglers, though it’s also useful for others as a reminder and reinforce ment of good practice. Be interesting to see the other books in the series.”

“Richard billed this as a return to the "Observer Books" of our childhood - I loved those and got to say I'm really chuffed with Early Season River Fishing as a book. Loads of useful info especially on the entomology side which is why I'd give it 5 stars not problem. Would have loved a little more on 'rivercraft' and yet to see how the binding holds up but it seems solid. Photos are great, would be nice to have an idea where they were taken? Good value book I can see me taking out to while away a tea break on stream, or just dipping into our of season to get a "fix". Happy customer of Barbless Flies!”
