“The P1R8 feels satisfyingly heavy and makes shaving easier. The knurled handle feels good, ensures there is no danger of slippage and the mechanism works well. The reasons I marked it down is the fact that the matt black finish shows the soap residue up. which is only a small niggle, i just clean with a old toothbrush everytime and it wouldn't stop me purchasing it again if I needed to (although I expect the rugged P1R8 to last forever). The second reason is the stand, which is pleasingly heavy but the hole is a lot larger than the shaft of the razor, which means it doesn't easily stand up straight, its a balancing act ( I think I might have mild OCD?)”
