“My Jaguar X-type diesel was suffering from erratic idle at tick over, starting at 800 rpm then jumping to 1500 rpm then dropping back down to 800 rpm and repeating. There were no error messages etc although eventually one did appear advising an issue with the throttle position sensor, which it turns out is part of the pedal. Jaguar no longer supply this part hence you will have to buy second hand. Provided the part numbers match, the item is simply plug and play.”
