“We decided to spend a week in Paris and the north east of France. We had one day at Parc Asterix, four days at Disney and one in Paris. Our kids are six and eight and we think we got the mix about right. I added the day at Parc Asterix (Sunday 28th May) to break the drive from the Eurostar terminal - although Disney is relatively close, the traffic congestion does build as you get closer to Paris and Chessy. We were very glad that we did add this day as we thoroughly enjoyed the park and the price obtained from Attractiontix was very good value. In comparison to Disney, the Parc was empty. Walking around was a pleasure and we didn't queue for more than 15 minutes anywhere, with most rides being a direct walk on. In terms of the ratio of thrill rides to more sedate family rides, Parc Asterix has more thrill rides than Disney. I persuaded the kids to try most of the rides until we rode the Tonnere de Zeus. As we got to the end of the queue, there was a very heavy shower and we ended up on the ride in torrential rain - the experience of a large wooden coaster while trying to shield from the rain was too much for the family and left both kids feeling sick afterwards. Highlights were the Dolphin / Sea Lion show, La Trace de Hourra and Oxygenarium which were all very good. La Trace de Hourra was my eight year old daughter's favourite and Oxygenarium was my six year old son's favourite. The children's area was also very good. This included an aerial car (Les Espions de Cesar), which we went on a few times, a simple children's play area and a themed village with characters. Parc Asterix will never be the reason that we visit this reason - it just couldn't entertain for multiple days. However, we have concluded that the Eurotunnel / offsite Val D'Europe apartment route is our preferred method of visiting Disneyland Paris and I will definitely be adding Parc Asterix to the next trip itinerary.”

“Brought Parc Asterix tickets from Attraction tix which couldn't have been simpler. Parc Asterix is great for older teens as lots of good roller coasters for them to scream on! went during UK half term and was very busy but longest ever queue time was about 40 minutes so not too bad. Places to eat and get drinks aplenty. We watched the seal and dolphin display which was ok but no handout telling you about how and why these animals are kept/breeding programs etc. Visited here a couple of times and Ozlris is by far our favourite but Goudrix, is a close second! Got soaked on Grand Splash so go prepared!”
