“My Wife and I visited the Empire State Building in New York on the 18th off November 2014 ( the coldest November Day in 50 years)while on a grand trip, to celebrate our Golden Wedding Anniversary.No lines when we arrived, and we were in the lift 15 minutes after we got our tickets. Even on a freezing cold Day we managed to enjoy all the wonderful views we could see from the observation platform. We read all the information about the construction of the building and took lots of photos. A very good morning indeed.”

“We went to the Empire State as one the first things we did in NYC. We arrived at 10am and despite the guys outside telling us the queue was an hour and that we needed to upgrade our tickets, we literally didn't wait in line at all. We took our time and read the various histories of the art deco building on the way up and had the audio tour (they offer this - some people declined - crazy! It's free and essential to make the most of it) telling us about the way it was constructed and the politics of the time. We spent an hour on the observation deck, listening to the audio descriptions from each side of the building before hitting the gift shop and moving on. It was getting busier as we left so recommend going early. If like us you're deciding on day/night between this and Top of the Rock, do TOTR at night!”
