“We were picked up from our hotel at 6.20pm, arrived at the boat at 6.40pm and were told that we couldn’t board the boat until 7pm then we would sail at 8pm, seemed a bit of a long time but we went along with it. Finally got on the boat about 7.15pm but didn’t sail until 8.15pm. Once sailing the food was ready almost straight away and the cook prepared some very nice pasta along with several other dishes. We had a bottle of water on the table but also wanted a soft drink as they were included in the price and asked for two glasses of 7up. If you go on this cruise don’t do that as at the end of the cruise they then charged us 30AED for these drinks !!! My booking said it included free soft drinks, mineral water, tea and coffee ( which we weren’t even offered ) so that was what I had expected. The final disappointment of the evening was the journey back to the hotel as instead of taking a short diversion to drop us off first ( out hotel the JW Marriott Marquis was much closer ) the driver instead chose to take us 15-20 minutes past our hotel to drop the other two guests off at the Tripp Wyndham first, meaning we then had to travel a further 15-20 minutes back to our hotel making the journey 30-40 minutes longer than it needed to be.”
