I had high hopes for the Medusa but it doesn't deter the parakeets

Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. We’re sorry to hear that the Medusa Bird Feeder Defender hasn’t met your expectations in deterring the parakeets. We do state on the product page under FAQ's that we have found that parakeets can get past the defender quite easily. Unfortunately, parakeets are intelligent birds and are most determined to find various ways to access food. Kind regards, The Ark Wildlife Team.

This really seems to keep out the bigger birds. Smaller birds are able to go through the chains to my fat ball feeder and half coconut! Looks good too!

Thank you for taking the time to leave us your valuable feedback on our Medusa Bird Feeder Defender. Birds are creatures of habit, and when introducing a new product to the garden, it may take a bit of time for the little birds to become confident enough to use the feeder. Once one brave little bird takes the plunge, the rest will follow! Sometimes you just have to be patient. If you have any further questions or need any assistance in the future, please don't hesitate to reach out. Our friendly customer support team is always here to help and provide additional guidance. Kind regards, The Ark Wildlife Team.

The first bird to feed was a Wood Pecker, who showed her young what to do!. After 2 days I tied 2 chains together as no other birds were feeding. Blue tits started feeding through larger gap, I thought Sparrows would watch and learn however they have given up and like the Robins are feeding off the ground. So not a success any ideas would be appreciated.

My first defender was faulty, a new one was sent without delay. Four stars as I'm not sure if it scares the birds away, too much metal to fight their way through, especially smaller breeds.

Seems to keep the bigger birds off the feeder and looks attractive too.

Magical piece of kit, which has really done what I hoped, which is enable the small birds to feed in relative peace. It is also rather an attractive thing to look at!
