Sturdy and keeps the larger birds out

Great cage strongly made with thick plastic coating. Easy to assemble. Small birds find it easy to access and so far has kept marauding squirrels out. Can be pegged if required. Top door for inserting feed.

Useless, don't buy it if you want to stop Starlings from getting to food for small birds.

I bought the Ground Feeder Cage for Small Birds which works well, but I would have preferred if the cage squares could have been a few mm smaller. They would have still allowed the small birds in easily but not Starlings. The first day I put my feeder cage out within 5min it was filled with Starlings. Its certainly not easy for them to get in but they still managed to squeeze their way through.

I dont use this on the ground I have my feeders handing from the shed so I use this item on its side covering them using the hatch to clean and fill my feeders, the squirrel (VERY little one) still gets in but he hates being in there and my feeder when he does are also squirrel proof, I did not mind feeding the odd squirrel but then came a troop of them and my feeders when just being ran-sacked

The small birds like it and it prevents the larger birds getting to the food. Some small starlings do get through.
