The pigeons and jackdaws aren't happy with not getting at the seed, but the blackbirds and robins are because the have a safe place to fill their beaks with food for their chicks. The only drawback is that I need to have the cage on the patio so that I can watch the birds and there is no facility for holding the cage securely. I have had to steady it with bricks. Have you any other solution.? I do not have many DIY skills and am an 85 years old widow and love watching the birds.

Was pleasantly surprised at the size and robustness of this feeder cage. Really easy to assemble and sits firmly in the ground with the pegs supplied. Finally my ground birds and smaller birds can get some food. The crows and seagulls have been trying for days to find a way in but no luck. Will be buying another one, I think. Arrived really well packaged and in very quick time. Great value. Many thanks.

Firstly, the cage keeps the pigeons away from the food as long as you put it in the middle which was the main reason for buying it. It was also very easy to assemble. The access door makes it easy to replenish the food and clean. The reason I didn't give 5 stars was I noticed there were small bits of the plastic coating missing on the frame which may have lead to a bit of rusting. I'm sure Ark Wildlife would have dealt with it but I chose not to contact them as I had some matching enamel paint I used to touch it up.

Does exactly what I wanted. It allows birds as large as blackbirds to feed but not Jackdaws and Rooks. The Rooks cannot even reach in with their long necks to reach the food (which was a problem with my previous feeding cage).
