We bought this as we have a real problem with wood pigeons (counted 15 in our urban garden the other morning as soon as I put food out). The quality of the cage is excellent, but we have an issue with the size of the wire spaces as we really wanted to feed the friendly blackbirds and it is too small to let them through. We watched a blackbird circling for quite some time, but not brave enough to squeeze through.

We have several fat pigeons who eat all the food we put down for the smaller ground feeders. It has worked a treat but I haven't seen any blackbirds venture inside the cage yet. I have also taken the advice given on the site to feed the larger birds away from the cage so the pigeons along with jackdaws and crows haven't been forgotten.

The cage was very good. However, the clips to create a hinge on the top opening unfortunately weren`t fit for purpose. they came off every-time the top was opened. I had to use garden wire to make the hinge which worked ok. I suggest the company has another look at replacing the clips for the top opening.
