Great product that allows me to track my game with minimal fuss. Works a charm when phone is in the pocket. Apple Watch is a bit fiddly. Few potential improvements: 1/ Apple Watch pre-round setup is fiddly and not very intuitive. But once it is setup, it works great. Please do more user testing and simplify the workflow. 2/ Steps to do pin position marking is also fiddly. On the iphone it requires a couple of clicks (not to mention a little anti-social to keep taking your phone out when playing with friends!). I have not discovered if it’s possible to mark pin position on the Apple Watch. Could you build a little button on the putter sensor? Or make the pin position marking button a huge one click soft-button on the main app screen? 3/ I use a standard Odyssey Two Ball putter grip which has a tear drop shape. The sensor is round and attaching the sensor to the grip is a mess and it sits 45 deg! A bigger problem is because the fit is not perfect, I’ve had the sensor fall out as it snags against other clubs when I’m pulling it out from the bag. When this happens, the app erroneously detects multiple wedge shots as I tend to have my wedge near me on the green. In short a complete mess of having to delete shots and update putts when I drop the putter sensor in the bag. Overall I’m very happy with the product. With continuous refinements I can see this product become a staple for golfers.

I'm currently looking at your shot tracking system. I like all the features & the value seems great. My question is does this system have a practice/range mode?

Hi Jim, Thanks for your review and question. The app is only compatible on the course as it a performance tracking system that uses GPS to track your shots on the course. However, you can use the on-course data to shape your practice allowing you to improve faster! Best, -Team Arccos

My brother is an avid golfer. He received the Arccos Cadie Sensors free when he bought his Cobra Driver. He didn't use them and instead gave them to me. Let me tell you, I love these sensors. They have helped improve my game quite a bit. Great product.

Overall, my experience has been great. The sensors I bought from Golf Town were in the old retail packaging, so they have been sitting around for a couple of years. As a result, 5 of the sensors were dead when I went to pair them. Arccos sent me replacements for free, but they took about a week and a half to get to Canada. I tried to get my Apple Watch Series 6 to pair for the Shot Detection, but it was always grayed out on the App, like I didn't have an apple watch. I've always had my phone in my back pocket when I play golf, since I used to use a different App for GPS/Score/Stats, so it wasn't a big deal for me to get used to playing with the phone in the front pocket. Shot detection accuracy is very good, but it can struggle in the evenings at or past sunset, so you have to keep an eye on it during the last couple of holes if you're a twilight player. Even though I pull my phone out on every green and adjust pin position and # of putts it frequently adds putts even after I manually enter a 1 putt. More than a few occasions I will look at my scorecard and notice extra strokes - all from putts that didn't happen. It's easy to fix, but it's annoying that I have to do it. As a scratch handicap, I purchased the sensors to help identify and isolate where I was losing strokes course management wise, and the web based Dashboard is great for that. The amount of info you're provided on how you've played a hole, where you have missed, your scoring history etc, is exactly what I wanted. I didn't like that I couldn't use my bluetooth earbuds while using the app (For evening twilight rounds on my own), and I found manually setting the pin position to be a little more work than I would like, so I purchased the Link for next year. Some things I would like to see added/improved: Ability to save a specific club, and retire it, or pull it out of rotation, but still be able to retain that clubs Data. So If I have two drivers or two putters I swap in and out, I can keep separate stats on each club so I can see how each performs vs the other. As a Canadian player with a 5 month off season, I would also like to be able to save my Dashboard data from 2020 and start the 2021 season off with a clean slate - No GIR/Fairway/U&D stats, etc. I want to be able to compare 2020 vs 2021 to see how I've progressed and improved from season to season. Right now I can only delete everything by unpairing my clubs and re pairing, or just run though right into the next season. I've recommended Arccos to some friends, and I think anyone who wants to become more informed about their game, and are dedicated to practice and improving won't regret Arccos.

Hello Joel, Thank you for leaving such a detailed review! It is great to hear that you have, on the whole, had a good experience with Arccos Caddie. In regards to the added putts, we run machine learning after switching to the next hole so this why you may sometimes see the edits to the number of putts. You should be able to turn this feature (smart putt detection) off in the settings. In regards to the club data request, you can 'pair' and 'unpair' your clubs allowing you to have data for individual clubs. You can find more information on this on our support site - support.arccosgolf.com. For the year data, you can use the date filter on the dashboard to filter your data - this may provide the analysis you are looking for? If you have any further comments or questions, be sure to reach out to our customer experience team at starter@arccosgolf.com. Thanks again for the review. -Team Arccos

Tried twice to get these sensors to work, failed both times. I requested to cancel my subscription as a result. No help from customer service either. Now I am out a few bucks, guess they needed it more. Terrible product and company.

Cordialement Luc Billard Very good since I bought a second set of 3rd generation sensors. On the other hand, I still have problems with the rangefinder of the Apple Watch, I often play 1,2,3, or 4 holes without the iPhone / Apple watch connection working and then suddenly it starts up ...... ? But then there is still a lag time from the display of the new distance when I look at my watch. It's painful because it should be instantaneous like the display on the iPhone .....! Especially since it must be possible. Also user of ClubHub sensors on other clubs the display is instantaneous and there is no latency between the display on the iPhone and on the Apple watch .....! I contacted support about this, but I have no concrete and satisfactory answer. This is quite unpleasant and spoils the fun of using Arccos sensors a bit; you should get hold of the problem and find a solution. Sincerely Luc Billard

Hi Luc, Thank you for leaving us a review. It's great to see that you are enjoying the sensors and the Arccos Caddie app, however, we are sorry you are having issues with the Apple Watch app. Please remember this is a Public Beta so may not provide the best experience at the moment. If you are using the watch for shot tracking, we would recommend trying just the rangefinder mode to see if that performs better for you whilst we work on a fix for the watch app. You can find some support material on the Apple watch app at support.arccosgolf.com. All the best. -Team Arccos

Bought a new iPad, as old operating system couldn’t be updated. Site says IOS app, so I bit the bullet. Anyway, know that it DOES NOT work on iPad. Called customer service about this, and they were helpful in extending free period for a year, so that’s something. Better would have been clearly indicated that IPAD didn’t work. Hopefully they can get that up in the future. Not impossible to do on iPhone, but older eyes would appreciate a larger screen when making post round shot adjustments, which I have to do for 4-5 shots a round. I am enjoying the product so far, and only one more round to get the caddie feature, which I am curious about.

Hi Bill, Thanks for taking the time to leave a review on the Smart Sensors. We are sorry that you purposely purchased an iPad for the use with the Arccos Caddie app - we advertise everything with the phone and do not mention 'compatible with iPad' anywhere. We have found some users are successful with downloading the app on iPad but we do not have a specific iPad app. We are glad that you have been able to contact our customer experience team and are happy with the outcome. Hopefully you can get that 1 round in ASAP so you can test out the Caddie Advice feature! Let us know if you have any questions or issues. Thanks again. -Team Arccos
