Across is great for getting idea of club distances. It sometimes thou misses shots which you easily put in manually. If you for to start your round and say you are on the 2nd you have to restart from the hole you are on or the next as otherwise it will drive you mad as it will think your on hole 1 The thing I would love to see is a range finder that links with across app that will set the flag position for better putting stats. With link hard to set flag position without touching your phone on the green

Hi Keith, thank you for your review and your feedback. We are pleased to hear you are enjoying using Arccos and how the club distances are helping your game. We would like to offer you some tips to improve your experience setting the flag position while using your Link, so you don't have to get your phone out. When standing next to the flag simply press the Crown button once and the device will automatically update the pin position for that day. I decided to use the Arccos system originally to help me with yardages and to help me understand the areas of my game which need the most focus. After 2 years of using it, I must say I'm very impressed. Yes, sometimes the Apple Watch takes a little while to sync up when using both the iPhone and Link but that aside the statistics and auto-shot capturing is fantastic. The caddie club suggestions are almost always spot on and sometimes when you think it's wrong, you almost always wish you had listened to it. I started on a 28 handicap and I've moved down to a 14 in my first two years of playing and Arccos has definitely helped me get there. My setup includes the smart sensors, integrated superstroke putter sensor, Link and I use both my iPhone and Apple Watch concurrently when playing, it all works in harmony.

I have had a few sensors fail and a couple connection issues. However overall the system has been great and I have dropped over 9 shots from my handicap being able to review my shots and errors allowing me to focus on areas to improve. Not sure I could ever not use a system like this again. Over 5k shots recorded.

I've used this for a few rounds now. It is basically quite helpful. It has 2 flaws in my view though. The first is that I have to keep my phone in my pocket. That is a little annoying as it's not what I want when playing. I'd rather leave it in my bag. The 2nd issue is that it misses lots of shots, maybe 10%. I have to add them in after my round and remember what I hit and when. It isn't a cheap system and so I would expect better to be honest. The fact that my review focusses more on the frustrations than the good points, probably gives you a feel as to how I find it.

Hi Robert, thank you for your review. To help improve your experience using Arccos Caddie if you do not enjoy playing with your phone in your pocket we recommend using Arccos Caddie Link which allows you to track your round without having to have to carry your phone in your pocket. We also suggest visiting our support site support.arccosgolf.com where you can find some common troubleshooting tips which could help improve the shot detection and reduce the number of shots missed while you play. You can also contact our Customer Experience team at starter@arccosgolf.com as they will also be happy to help improve that issue. Thanks, Team Arccos

I received the sensor pack free of charge as art of the Ping promotion. With the price being right ;-) figured there was no downside. First thing I noticed, the sand shots recording are 50/50 at best. Since the sensor/phone depends on sound, the lack of an audible click in the sand seems to be a common problem resulting in the need for manual edit. The second thing I noticed is that after 7 rounds I used my Lob wedge 1 time. I thought i carried it for tall lip bunkers, but it turns out I just open up the SW. So now I rock a chipper, cause the app told me I wasn't all that consistent greenside with 7I-SW. it's changed the way I played the last 6 rounds for sure. Still getting used to it on fast greens, but it's a life saver when short sided. I replaced my old phone app with the arccos app, so the $99 wasn't a big issue. I wish they fixed the SW issue, but other than that this thing delivers on all promises.

Received these Arccos sensors as a gift and was super excited to get them set up. Pairing the sensors and getting my clubs set up was very easy, had almost no issues and it was pretty quick. Using them on the course however was a bit of a mess. I had no idea that you have to physically have your phone in your front pocket each time you go to hit the ball, which is very cumbersome and honestly disruptive to my swing. I am a female golfer and some female golf clothes don’t even have pockets at all, let alone pockets that will allow you to fit your phone. Also extremely cumbersome to have to take your phone in and out of your pocket to actually see what the distance stats are telling you. After the first 9 I stopped trying to use the app or the sensors or even have my phone on me and I shot 7 strokes better on the back 9. I really wanted these to work, and honestly just being able to see some of the data in real time was amazing, however if you have to keep your phone on you I don’t think these are going to work for me. Or really any female golfer, so you’re missing out on an entire target market. The other thing that was difficult was trying to figure out how to edit your shots. While the shot automation is cool, it doesn’t account for drops, shots that go into water, out of bounds, lost balls etc. so you have to manually update those which was again not easy to do without holding up actual play so it wasn’t keeping a true score on the app. Hoping to connect with a support rep to see if there are some easy wins here to address some of these issues, but as of now thinking of returning these.

Hi Morgan, Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that you are not currently having the best experience using Arccos Caddie. We do have a couple of options that may help you to have a better experience using our product and app by eliminating the need for you to carry your phone in your pocket. Firstly we offer Arccos Caddie Link which offers shot detection instead of your phone and just needs to be clipped on your waist or to your pocket which is available for purchase from our website at the link below: https://www.arccosgolf.com/collections/arccos-products/products/arccos-caddie-link. Another alternative we can offer is our recently launched Arccos Caddie for Apple Watch app which offers the same capability as the Arccos Caddie Link to be able to track your shots without carrying your phone in your pocket as well as other features (depending on Apple Watch model) including A.I. Rangefinder Yardages and the Ability to Set the Pin. More information regarding Arccos Caddie for Apple Watch and FAQs can be found at support.arccosgolf.com and the following links: https://www.arccosgolf.com/pages/apple-watch https://www.arccosgolf.com/pages/apple-watch-frequently-asked-questions The Arccos Caddie app is also compatible with any Samsung Galaxy Wearable with a 360 x 360 display. More information regarding Samsung Wearables compatibility with Arccos Caddie, including FAQs, can be found at support.arccosgolf.com and the link here: https://support.arccosgolf.com/hc/en-us/articles/360037957012-Samsung-Galaxy-Wearable-FAQs.
