Definitely works better for me detecting shots vs my iphone. I solved that pesky problem of losing it (once) by drilling a hole in the clip then running a lanyard through it tied to a small carabiner so i can attach it to my belt loop.

The Caddie Link is great. Granted, not all shots get recorded but most do. Biggest downside: once you start appreciating it, you lose it. I'll fork over $125 one more time. After that? I don't know.

Arccos Link performed really well for me during the warmer months, often times not missing a single shot during my round. But now that it's gotten pretty cold, I've noticed the behavior has been a lot more fickle. In fact, it's been missing more than 50% recently. After thinking about this, I suspect this is because the layers I'm wearing to stay warm (low 40s) cover the Arccos Link, which I'm guessing has been muffling the sound enough to cause it to fail to register so many of my shots.

Hi Walter, thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear of the issues you are experiencing when you are wearing extra layers. This may be due to how the system picks up shots and the club used. We recommend the Link has a clear view of the sky for better GPS accuracy and to ensure the microphone is not covered for improved shot detection. We hope that this can help reduce the missed shots you are experiencing, but you can also find more troubleshooting tips at our support site support.arccosgolf.com or contact our Customer Experience team at starter@arccosgolf.com and they will be happy to help you. Thanks, Team Arccos

The product works well and is better than the phone in pocket. It misses shots but you can add shots and correct on the fly or when round is over. The issue is where to put it. On the belt or on the pocket. In either spot it can easily pull off and you do not know it and now you are out $125. No insurance for lost link. They should develop a more secure what to affect to belt. something with a lock so it cannot pull off. I can claim the lost item on AMEX because they insure no questions since I am a member for ever but Arccos needs to work on a better attachment.

The caddie link misses shots too often. I find myself having to look at my phone after every shot to see if it detected my shot. If not, then I have to stand there and add it. Not a distraction you need on the course. I’m hoping Arccos makes updates to the firmware to bring the performance up to expectations. One other thing, is it does not link up with USGA to automatically adjust and upload your score like some of the free apps out there. Seems like a pretty basic feature and should be included given you are paying a subscription fee for the pleasure of using an almost good product.

Not sure how people are using the Arccos App and Link and it missing shots, but I almost never have that happen. As a matter of fact on practice day when I play two or three or four balls per hole I can get all my data although the image looks link a kid scribbled. It is a great tool to help know where to focus your practice time, be realistic of how and how long you hit each club, make better decisions when it counts, etc. We still need a way to run the app on a tablet so the hole images are easier to see and a way to add notes in the dashboard!!!

Works well in most cases. It will miss putts occasionally, but those can be adjusted easily. Only real problem is it will miss short shots (thinking they are practice shots?) and adjustments have to be made later. The SG stats are great. No problem with the quality of the device or getting it to connect.
