“Excellent alternative to the extremely expensive mercury UVA/UVB bulbs that also provide heat, but tend to blow very quickly. These do not provide heat, but combined with a separate heat emitter, the cost is a fraction and I haven't had one blow at all, after using them for the last three years. Just be aware that these bulbs need to be changed once a year, as the UV levels drop off after 12 months or so.”
