The TrueCall Secure (previously called TrueCall Care) is an innovative product that has various levels of protection against receiving unwanted calls.Unlimited control for blocking incoming callsCan also block certain outgoing callsPlays a warning through the speakers if the phone has been left off the hookCan be setup to record all incoming telephone calls (more information below)Control every aspect of the unit remotely using the web app, including listening to voicemailsThe highest level of control forces all callers who are not registered as friends and family to enter a 3 digit security code, if they do not know the 3 digit security code then the telephone will not ring. This filter eliminates 100% of unwanted incoming calls.Trusted CallersYou can add Trusted Callers to the unit through the handset menu, or by logging into your online account.Any Trusted Caller can simply ring the telephone number, as usual, they will not even realise that they've been filtered through the TrueCall Care system.Controlling Incoming Calls - Unauthorised CallersThe TrueCall Care Unit has 3 filter settings for incoming unauthorised calls, only 1 filter profile can be active at any time.1: Standard Filter (Low Control): This filter plays a customised pre-recorded message but then allows callers to manually continue the call by simply pressing 5.Using this filter you can voice a strong warning in the message to cold-callers that you are not interested in anything they have to offer, this can help reduce the number of cold-callers, but they can still get through if they are persistent by simply pressing 5.2: International Filter (Medium Control): This filter splits calls into UK calls and international calls.All International Callers will be requested to enter the 3 digit security code before they can continue the call, this eliminates many cold-callers as most are based outside of the UK.UK Callers are played a different message that you have recorded, once again we recommend that you warn cold-callers to hang up, however, UK callers can still continue their call by pressing 5.3: Trusted Callers Only (High Control): AlzProducts Recommended FilterThis filter blocks all incoming calls unless they are 'trusted callers', or know the 3 digit security code.This filter is the recommended filter for people with Alzheimer's disease, cognitive loss, or memory impairment.Any caller that isn't on the trusted numbers list will receive a message that you have recorded, for example:"Hello. John is only accepting calls from friends and family. If you need to get hold of him you can contact Paul on 07870-xxxxxx. Alternatively, if you have the access code please enter it now. Thank you."This ensures that only relatives and friends can contact the individual who has the TrueCall Care unit in their home. If the person is a legitimate caller they can contact a nominated relative to ask for the security code, and to be placed on the trusted callers list.Controlling Outgoing CallsMany people with Alzheimer's, dementia, or any form of memory impairment, can make repetitive or expensive telephone calls.The TrueCall Care allows full control over what calls can be made; numbers can be blocked individually or by number ranges.Some examples of numbers that are barred by our customers are:All premium rate telephone numbersThe talking clockInternational numbersPlease be aware that if the TrueCall Care unit is powered down or disconnected, this feature will be disabled.Remote AccessMany of the TrueCall Care features can be accessed remotely via the internet:Listen to voicemail messagesRecord new announcementsChange all settingsAdd/remove trusted numbersYou do not need broadband at the house where the TrueCall Care unit is located, as the information is uploaded via the telephone line. The first year of remote access is free, after that there is a small fee of £20* per year.*The fee payment and subscription is managed by TrueCall directly, as you will only start paying this fee in 12 months time the price is subject to change.You do not need to provide any payment details when first setting up the TrueCall. Reminder emails will be sent when the 12 months end and only at that time will payment details be required should you decide to continue with the service. We bought this product for my elderly mum who has been besieged by scam callers. The Truecall Secure has put an end to all the cold calling. The device is very easy and straightforward to set up - we did this in our own home before installing it at mum's. Would highly recommend for anyone for anyone looking to block nuisance calls a brilliant product.

Bought a TrueCall unit. The set up manual doesn't cater for the solution I wanted, which I'm sure must be a common request ie only let calls from approved callers through. There were changes to configuration that TrueCall made in the background to make it work but again nothing in the manual to state this. They stated that the user can't make them and they must be done in the background by TrueCall. Installed finally and one day in,so likely that as it does what it is supposed to I'll become much happier but for now just a generous two.

We're sorry to hear our customer had problems setting up the 'Trusted Caller Only' option on the TrueCall Secure unit and felt that the instructions for this were unclear. The settings can be changed in the handset menu and at the internet control panel and it explains how to do this in the instructions. We have fed back the customer's comments to the manufacturer who will review their instructions to see if they could be more clearly explained. Both ourselves and the manufacturer have UK customer service teams available who are happy to help anyone with the set-up of their kit.
Fantastic, more like a call allower than blocker, no more scam calls for my mum who has dementia. Incredibly easy to set up and oversee. Will recommend this product far and wide!!!

After my mum getting umpteen unsolicited calls every day - mainly trying to sell something, ANYTHING, to her Truecall Secure is AMAZING. Easy to install and quick to set up (I used the internet to set up but it can be done via the phone handset,,,,or a mixture of both - great to have the choice). The calls stopped immediately. Worth every single penny. THANK YOU.

Marvellous. Effectively paid for itself in the first 2 months. Mum previously had a call-blocking phone but she knew when it had blocked a call and was doing 1471 to find out who it was. One month this totalled over £100. Tried showing her how to use the caller display but she couldn't remember. Now it only rings when it's a trusted caller and she doesn't know about the blocked calls. The Remote Access feature is great for keeping an eye on who's calling. Works well with her alarm bracelet system too.

This has been a genuinely helpful product for my parents who both have a dementia diagnosis.Before it's installation, Mum was deeply confused/anxious/suspicious about the numerous cold calls they received, often thinking it was family members playing 'tricks' on her. The confusion with calls stopped once the product was installed. It's been installed on the highest setting for a year now so only family/friends or those with the code can ring. It takes some time to set up on the highest level but it's worth it. I use the control panel to monitor the phone remotely and I am very happy to pay £25 for another year's service.

I have to say I wasn't convinced it would work BUT after finally getting it set up and speaking to an adviser on the help line. It has exceeded my expectation. I purchased the call blocker to block 123 and 1471 outgoing calls my elderly relative was calling. Her phone bill was over £200 a month just dialling these numbers. I would recomend it but would suggest to call the help line for a quick set up.
