“It was not what I thought it was you can hardly hear it breath so I was disappointed with it”

We're sorry to hear that our customer was disappointed with the Calico Cat. The cat is designed to simulate the motion of breathing. There is a noise, but this is a soft mechanical sound when the chest rises and falls, which can sometimes be interpreted as breathing or purring. We do have a 30-day returns policy, so the customer is welcome to return the cat for a refund. This can be arranged by contacting our customer service team.

“This lovely little cat is almost purrfect. The collar was kind of wonky and the little paw pads were not as the photo on the website, but this cat will do the trick as a gift for a friend who can't have a real kitty.”

“Firmer than expected, could perhaps have a little more stuffing to soften. Also tufts of hair came off when stroked. Bought for Mum who is in late stages of vascular dementia, she spent quite a while just stroking the cat and seemed quite settled. I loved the way you could see and hear it breathing.”

“I bought this for my friend during the third lockdown in the UK. He mentioned wanting a toy cat to stroke for the company and soothing aspect. I sent it to him as a surprise and he was over the moon for weeks! He says it's great. He often talks mentions it, and has given it a name. He says the quality is very good. It has nice 'fur' and looks pretty realistic. He did say to include in the review (as echos another review on the product website) that it would be improved by having the facility to conveniently switch off the breathing noises, without having to get a screwdriver out to remove the batteries. Sometimes he'd like it to be quiet, but thinks he might just get used to it. I'm very glad I bought this product and we'd both recommend it.”

“For my daughter...as a calming measure. She reported it creepy at first because of the breathing, but quickly took it's place as a tension reliever. Fabulous”
