“I bought this for my mother who lives independently in extra-care housing but has quite extensive Alzheimer's. It has been absolutely life changing! The instructions were clear to follow for me to set reminders and record messages. My voice comes across clearly and the volume can be adjusted. My mother wears it round her neck and when a reminder is due, it sounds an alarm. All she has to do is press the blue button on the front and she will hear my voice saying something like "Good morning mother, it is 7.30 in the morning on Tuesday. Time to think about getting up and starting to wash. Your carer should be arriving soon." I've recorded about 6 general messages each day, just to remind her to drink water, confirm the day and time, eat lunch, go to bed etc. Plus I can then also set messages for when she is going out to tell her to get her shoes on etc. My mother can easily get confused but this works wonderfully. The other positive is that she feels reassured and less isolated hearing my voice throughout the day whereas before she would get very anxious if she felt she hadn't seen on heard from me for a while. I know perhaps this product is a little on the expensive side but I can't praise it highly enough. The boost it has given my mum easily justifies it. Would highly recommend it.”
