Recently bought for a family member with dementia and it was a great choice. Very colourful and packed with photos of memories from the 1950's. My only criticism would be the size of the font. Far too small for even a good sighted person but rather difficult for someone with dementia as they lack concentration.

We're sorry to hear that our customer was disappointed with the size of the text. The themed images and photographs are designed to be shared as a reminiscence aid, invoking memories and promoting conversation. We do have a 30 day returns policy, so the book can be returned for a refund if it is unsuitable.
I purchased for use in a Care Home where I Volunteer. The photos invoke so much recall for the Residents many with Alzheimers and creates further conversations of the past in a happy situation. I fully recommend to others with elderly relatives whether with Dementia or not. The quality of paper/pictures is excellent. The perfect tool to stimulate and create conversation.

Gave this to my mum as part of her Christmas gift. She lit up remembering all the different things shown in the book. Her mind was busy again thinking of old times and telling us about past memories recalled by simply turning a page. It’s a book you could leave on the coffee table and look at together and each time you’d get a new memory to talk about together. I may get the 1960s book too now that this one was so well received.

This book is brilliant, my mom will not engage in anything . I purchased this book for Christmas , she couldn’t put it down . Remembering all the products/pictures she was looking at . It was a joy to watch . She then went on to show members of the family. S little break through ⭐️⭐️

Brilliant book, so many throwbacks and my Nan loves going through it. I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the book and the weight. It’s sturdy and the pages have a nice finish. My nanny now has lengthy conversations with me again, about something that she’s an expert on. Seeing her so clued up, and empowered was Money very well spent. I would highly recommend this book, or one similar from Robert Opie’s collection.
