“This isn’t great in my kitchen. When I put the plates in the sink the plug released and drained the water. I decided then to wash my plates one at a time which works but isn’t ideal. Then I thought I’d test it just to make sure my husband can be left alone without a flood. Put the plug in, turned on the tap. The sink filled and overflowed and the plug still hadn’t released. I guess my sink isn’t big enough for this because the basin plug works just fine.”

We’re happy to hear that the basin Magiplug works well, but sorry to hear about the problems our customer had with the kitchen sink plug. The Magiplug fits a large majority of plugs in the UK, but it’s possible that it is not compatible with our customer's sink. We do have a 30-day returns policy, so the Magiplug can be returned for a refund. Please contact our customer service team and we'll be happy to get this booked into our system.

“This is an excellent product, gives you peace of mind that should your loved one accidentally leave a tap running with a plug in the basin/bath/sink, there will be no chance of any flooding. Bought one for each basin/bath/sink for my mother who has Alzheimer's and recently did just as described and the whole bathroom and hallway was flooded. Would recommend to anyone who has a family member/friend with dementia.”

“Having a father who is living with Alzheimer's and has left the bathroom sink to overflow a couple of times this idea is Great. At the moment the plug is removed and he hates it having to use a running tap to wash etc. The magiplug however is just on the cusp of working so I am currently seeing what can be done to nudge the magiplug in to working fully. Could do with a plug making which requires less pressure to operate the mechanism.”
