The Decades Reminiscence Book is part of a series of books created specifically for people living with dementia, with input from local dementia champions and care home dementia specialists.Suitable for use in care homes, day centres, or as a shared experience with family & friends24 pages in large A4 size for easy reading & viewingTake a trip down memory lane; covering life in Britain beginning with  highlights from the 1940s right to the 1960s. Including notable events such as the Queen's coronation, sporting achievements, holidays and the stars of cinema and television.A very simplistic bookThe illustrations throughout are identical to the front cover that's shown above, and there are also colouring in pages located in certain chapters. This book is great for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's, or cognitive loss, however please be aware that these books may not be suitable for people with early/mild cognitive loss. The feedback from a small number of our customers is that they underestimated how simplistic the images would be and the end-user was unhappy with themChaptersIntroductionHollywood and film1940s1950s1960s

My grandmother enjoyed looking at the book with me, although I think she's unable to read. Her dementia is also too developed for her to properly reminisce about life events or even really engage in a dialogue, but the pictures made her smile and it made it much easier for me to come up with things to talk about together, which was lovely! I think this is a good book for those later stages; someone in the earlier stages of dementia may find it patronising and/or too short?

I thought the concept was a great one but I found the presentation rather patronising and childlike and did not give it to my stepfather who probably would have liked it a lot if it had more pictures, no colouring pages and been better produced. Disappointed.

I am sure the recipient will enjoy remembering past times in England.

Quite nicely laid out, but a very thin book for the money, if this was a child’s book it would be a fraction of the price.
