Hello Melonie. We're also unsure on how your auntie managed to open our Lockable Plug Cover without a key. One possible cause may be a faulty socket cover, although we haven't yet had any plug covers returned as faulty we would be happy to provide a replacement for you ASAP. Another explanation is that your auntie was "lucky" in her attempt to force it open, and applied enough force and movement on the device to force an unlock - this can sometimes be done but thankfully is a very rare occurrence that's extremely hard to replicate. “The right hand plug cable slot does not line up with the socket plug position. Might be difficult to use if 2 plugs in use. Left hand plug cable slot is ok.”
