“I do not have Alzheimer's, nor poor vision but I have found the instructions for setting up the remote control completely incomprehensible.”

“Good product and easy to programme (although I couldn't get the off button to work) so the on button ended up doing both functions. I was able to use the remotes for both the LG TV and Humax box to programme the HandleEasy remote.”

We're sorry to hear that Ruth is having difficulty programming the HandleEasy's off button. We've contacted her directly to try to get this resolved. Sometimes "Learning" remote controls can have difficulty with power buttons, as some TV manufacturer's use a slightly different infra-red signal for this function that they have trouble replicating, although this issue is rare. We would generally recommend the Flipper remote control in these circumstances, as the Flipper's "coded programming" does not encounter this issue. Kind regards, the AlzProducts Team,

“Works well once you work out the instructions. They should say that you programme each button on the new controller from the old one separately e.g. press V+ on the new one and then V+ on the old one, then repeat for each button. If the old one has a single button for on and off, programme both the ON and OFF buttons on the new one separately from the single one on the old. I have a proposal for a simple controller to record and play back which I will send by email.”

“I bought this remote for my Mam who has Alzheimer's. It's fantastic but, unfortunately, she doesn't understand how to use it; even with an A4 laminated and labelled photo, she can't remember how to change the channels or volume. I've given it 5 stars because it is a fabulous product, it just doesn't work for us.”

We've emailed Jean directly to apologise that this wasn't made clear enough, and offered some options to try to resolve this for her, including a return for a refund, or an exchange for the Flipper. We also mentioned that the requirement for a fully functional existing remote control is stated on the product page, however it was near the bottom of the product information. “Very happy with the goods I puchased, a easy remote control, (in fairness though mum does Press all 6 buttons so the tv does go on and off argggggh..) and photo book that we have recorded messages on and how quickly they were delivered”

“My mother, who is in her nineties, was having trouble with her television controls. I did some research on the Internet and found the HandleEasy 321rc Remote Control. I placed an order late on Wednesday and it was delivered on Friday. The control is exactly as described, was easy to set up and seems simple to use, which is exactly what I wanted.”
