We're sorry to hear that James had problems programming the HandleEasy. Unfortunately the "learning set-up" that most simple universal remote controls use can be time-consuming for initial set-up and does depend on factors such as battery levels, signal strength from existing remote control, etc. One of the reasons the Flipper is our recommended remote control is that it does have a coded learning option, which can reduce the time needed for programming. We do also offer programming support via email or telephone should our customers require assistance.
