“I had initially bought my mother a One Button FM Radio but the area she was in didn’t get a very good signal. I have now bought this DAB Radio and I am really happy with it. It was easy to set up and tune in and to fit the cover that will prevent Mum turning it up too loud. It will be easy for the carer’s to retune to a different station if needed,”

“This is a great idea, but poorly executed. The radio is good, but the price markup for adding a plastic top with a button is excessive. The top is not tough - my mother’s broke when it was knocked to the floor. I bought a second one for my mother, who has dementia, as there is no comparable product of its size on the market. The radio is perfect for her, but this time the yellow button does not always retract enough to turn the radio properly off (ie it stops playing but does not always reset to allow it to be switched on again). This is because the top is fixed too low on the radio. It’s very confusing for her but it’s the best I can muster. Any advice or compensation from AlzProducts appreciated”

We're sorry to hear that our customer is unhappy with this radio. We've contacted them directly to address their concerns and offer to fix the radio button that they have received on this occasion and discuss other options. The manufacturer does offer a repair/replacement service for radios with broken/damaged lids. We would recommend customer's contact us if there is any damage to their radio (our customer's first radio) as it will be cheaper to replace the lid than to purchase a new radio. Sometimes the manufacturer may have to charge a fee for replacing a damaged lid but it is cheaper than purchasing a replacement radio. Finally, we appreciate that this radio is expensive however we do not make much profit on this product and we do stock an alternative one button radio and two simple music players as other options.
