Our puzzles are designed with high colour contrast and the 13 piece puzzles have one main focal point and larger puzzle pieces, to aid people with vision impairment. Each puzzle piece is unique in shape, and can therefore be put together by feel, which could help make it easier for the person to assemble.How do I clean the puzzles?The relish puzzles are now cardboard and we do not recommend any chemical cleaning agents for these. However a very lightly damp cloth can be used to wipe them, with water only.

“I bought the 13 piece London Sights jigsaw for my mom who has vascular dementia. The pieces are easy to handle, brightly coloured & robust without being childlike. My mom thoroughly enjoys doing the jigsaw & the smile & sense of achievement when she shows us the finished jigsaw is heartwarming. So much more than a jigsaw. I have bought another one because this one worked so well. I am also going to try the aqua paints.”

“I thought as a concept the jigsaw was a fabulous idea as it's a subject (a cat) that my grandmother loves. A grown-up picture that's easy to follow. However, the pieces themselves are difficult to get out of the board and are quite flimsy. One piece was already broken when it arrived although didn't realise until it had been opened and used. It's also very difficult for even me, an able bodied adult, to pull the jigsaw out of it's sleeve. So overall a great concept but could be designed and made better, especially for the price.”

We were sorry to hear that this customer was unhappy with their jigsaw. Shortly after this review was left the jigsaw puzzle design was updated by the manufacturer and these problems were addressed. All of our jigsaws now benefit from the new design. The new jigsaws come in a retail box instead of a sleeve, and have increased durability. The weak pieces only affected a small number of jigsaws, but this problem has also now been fixed. We have dispatched a free replacement to our customer and apologised for the inconvenience caused. “My father seems to enjoy the interaction with his granddaughter when she sits with him to help with the jigsaws we've purchased recently which is lovely to see. However, the quality of the jigsaws isn't the best as the pieces can break easily due their material.”

We're sorry to hear that Nicola (who created an account with us under her Father's name, John) was unhappy with the durability of the puzzles. We have contacted Nicola and have dispatched a replacement jigsaw to her. The manufacturer has explained that, due to the materials used during manufacturing, they have experienced a small number of puzzles that have broken immediately upon removal from their cover. “Orient Express jigsaw has given me something to do and talk about with my Dad. Very good quality, can be wiped clean. Is quite a tight fit which means the pieces don't fall out while we do it together as he lies in bed. A great product! Thank you!”
