Within the Response by Doro app, users are also able to help manage settings such as screen brightness or call volume on the Doro phone.Safety TimerThe safety timer function becomes very useful when you are performing a task that may be risky for your safety and which may leave you unable to call for help.To avoid this, set the safety timer to ON by pressing the key on the side of the phone and follow the instructions. Do the task (i.e. take a shower) and deactivate once complete.If the alarm hasn't been deactivated within the set time then the assistance sequence will start. You can decide the time period, up to a maximum of 120 minutes.Splash-proofThis device is resistant to water splashes and is protected from limited dust ingressClassification: IP54Call BlockingThe call blocking feature allows you to prevent specific numbers from calling or texting you. Really difficult to set up Not easy to use at all Mum unable to unlock screen herself so phone virtually useless Wish I'd not bought it

We're sorry to hear that our customer had trouble setting up this device. We've contacted this customer to offer our support and our customer service team are always available to help with the set-up of any of our technical products, by email or telephone. We also have a 30 day hassle free returns policy should any product not be suitable. We have queried the lock feature on the phone with the manufacturer and they have clarified with us how this works. There is an automatic safety feature that locks the phone after use, so the user does not accidently make calls. For example, when the phone is in a pocket or handbag. The phone needs to be unlocked to make a call but not to receive one. To unlock the phone to make a call then a longpress on button ... is needed. We will look at adding this information to our product page.
Although unlocked it required a prolonged press on the three dot bar to open which was beyond my mother in laws ability/understanding so fell at the first hurdle. It should just work when you power it on. Not enough instructions on how to set it up - I struggled to get her numbers on the phone etc. All Ma needed was a telephone to call from and too. Went back to previous doro and completely reset it so didn’t need pass code which was what Ma kept forgetting.
