“Disappointed, no way is this clock battery operated as it has to be plugged into the mains continuously for it to work. Good display and will dim at night but still too bright. Awkward when small controls are concealed at the back”

We do sincerely apologise that this customer has been dissatisfied with our product and further apologise for any confusion caused by how this clock is powered. We do try to make it as clear as possible on all of our product pages whether clocks are powered by batteries or mains. Our digital clocks that are mains powered will always give some light in the dark and this may be too much for some customers if used in the bedroom for instance. We do have a 30 day returns policy where any customer can return a product to us for a full refund, if they would like to do this then we are happy to help.
