Volume too low

We're sorry to hear that our customer was unhappy with the object locator. We have recently performed a review of the maximum volume of our object locators and have found that this particular object locator is quieter than the others that we sell. The SmartFinder range is 10dB louder, and the Click 'n' Dig range is 15dB louder. Customers who require a loud object locator may wish to look at those two ranges instead of this product.
I bought this for my 83 year old mother who has Alzheimer’s and is always squirrelling her belongings away including her handbag. As it stresses her greatly this product seemed to be the perfect solution. It was easy to set up BUT the alarm volume is so low that if the squirrelled item was in a cupboard or, in mum’s case, the washing bag the item couldn’t be located because the alarm couldn’t be heard. As this product is aimed at people with Alzheimer’s, who more often than not are elderly and with age comes reduced hearing, it was not fit for purpose. I have returned it with Alz products sending a prepaid postage label BUT from correspondence it seems I will not be refunded my original postage costs as the return is being classed as unsuitable. Big lesson learnt - don’t buy a product with no customer reviews.

We're sorry to hear that our customer was unhappy with the object locator. We're currently performing a volume comparison between our locators and will update our product page with this information to ensure customers can choose the ideal locator for their needs. I can also confirm that we have refunded this customer in full, including both sets of delivery charges, there was an error in one of our return booking emails that caused some confusion on this point.

UPDATE: Please note we no longer sell the SmartFinder or Click 'n' Dig ranges mentioned in our last reply. Please search for product code 1005570 for an alternative product with louder volume, if a louder volume is required
