The Pivotell® Advance Automatic Pill Dispenser is a premium automatic pill dispenser that incorporates a number of important and advanced features which are designed to help both the user remain compliant with their medication regime and further support their family members, carers and pharmacists.Automatic Dispensing - Can be filled and programmed by the user, relative, carer, or pharmacist to dispense pills up to 24 times a daySecurity - A self-locking shutter over the lid opening prevents access to the medication tray except at the alarm time. This prevents the possibility of double dosing or the forced movement of the medication tray by the userDisplay - The LCD display is visible through the lid allowing the user and carer to view: the date and time, the time that the next dose is due, the number of doses remaining, the battery levelStart Delay and Stop functions - Delays activation or deactivates dispenser - useful for those using multiple dispensers and to allow pharmacists or family members to fill in advance away from homeUpside-down - The tray will not rotate if upside down. “Great product with lots of useful programmable features that are easy to set up. The one issue with the pill dispenser is that the individual pill slots are not sealed within the unit. My confused aunt shook it to try to get pills out when she shouldn’t and all the pills dispersed within the unit ending up all over the inside of the dispenser. Not ideal!”

We are sorry to hear that our customer had a problem with the pills moving compartments. The pills would have to be extremely small for this to happen so we rarely hear of this problem. For this unusual occurrence there is a solution, which is a liner and a modified shutter, which closes the gap between tray and lid. The customers issue has now been resolved.

“I just purchased the Pivotell Advance Automatic Pill Dispenser as a replacement for the previously purchased Pivotell Automatic Dispenser as the previous one became faulty, after my mother who has dementia, managed to fiddle with it and force the pill holder ring round with her finger. The Advanced Automatic Pill Dispenser is much easier to use, instruction manual very clear as opposed to the previous one. It also has a tab that can lock to allow the person to put their finger in the open hole and force it round, this is good and bad as when locked, if they miss their pill time (which my mother often does as she sleeps through it) she then cannot access the pills, as before they would be sitting there until the next alotted time, so she could still take them. I know this lock feature was out in place to stop the person taking pills too close to each other in timings but there are still issues to be ironed out with this. I like that there is an LCD screen which tells you the date, time, when the next does is, how many doses are left and also when tilting the device it shows the battery life, as the previous one you were always concerned that the batteries may have run out. i like that you can purchase a second pill tray with a lid so you can prepare the next tray and just swap over when the pills run out. To improve on it, there should be a mains option as well as the batteries, so that you can plug into the mins when static, which lets face it, most dementia patients do not leave their homes and pretty much stay in the one place. other than that I am so far impressed with the new Advanced Automatic Pill dispenser.”

“Bought this item to assist elderly relative who was struggling to remember when to take medication, although I feel that the item is overpriced for what it is (something rife in the pharmaceutical indistry) it performs well and now we have it wouldn’t be without it, if you think this is something that would help you I would suggest sooner rather than later as getting into the swing of using the dispenser can take some time.”
