“These were the most complicated, cumbersome phones to set up. The instructions were impossible to follow. My sister gave up and handed over to me - I have two Masters degrees - and I resorted to guessing what to press. Sometimes I got it right but more often I got it wrong and had to start again. Once I got the phones working, some features were ridiculous for someone with dementia to use. For example, the volume boost was incomprehensibly labelled and impossible for my mother to find on the hand set. I could go on but I've wasted enough time on this stupid product. I've purchased things from AlzProducts before and been happy with them, but this phone badly lets them down and I recommend they remove it from their product list immediately as it's ruining their reputation. I have a blog on the internet and will write something cutting to get it out of my system!”

We're sorry to hear that our customer had trouble setting up this device. Our customer service team are always available to help with the set-up of any of our technical products, by email or telephone. We also have a 30 day hassle free returns policy should any product not be suitable. The customer returned the phone and a refund was processed.

“Phone seems to work satisfactorily but no user's manual was included. You can download it from the internet, but I do not care to read everything on screen. It is not always convenient, especially when you rely on a pc that cannot be taken from room to room.. And what if you do not have internet, as is the case with many old people?”

We're sorry to hear that our customer is unhappy with the manual not being included for this phone. The manufacturer made the decision last year to replace their in-depth manuals with "Quick start guides" that would include all of the most important information required. This was a decision that effects all UK stock and not specific to AlzProducts. We do offer the complete instruction manuals as downloads on all of our product pages for these phones for our customer's convenience and we do appreciate our customer's feedback regarding some people not having access to the internet and will pass this feedback to the manufacturer although it is something we've mentioned before. We have spoken with the manufacturer who have confirmed that they are able to send physical complete manuals to customer's on request. The majority of our customers shouldn't have any issues with the quick start guide + the only download but we can always get one sent to them in the post if it is required.
