Got these just in time for my trip to the Big Island, Hawaii, and I wore them kayaking, riding a horse, hiking to beaches and waterfalls, and four wheeling. They came home definitely looking used. My husband's Teva sandals didn't dry in time and smelled a little mildewy when I unpacked them, while these shoes dried perfectly. They're dirty, though. Very lightweight for packing and wearing. No blisters when I didn't have time to break them in before doing some hiking on rocks and all. I will say that they don't fit big like many of the reviews stated. I usually wear a size five, but since many recommended going up a size, I went with the five and a half (like a had a choice). They're a little big on me, and although I worried that would cause some problems, it didn't. I also made the mistake of wearing them into the ocean on one of my hikes. That ended with me feeling uncomfortable from the sand, so I took them off and held them to walk on the beach. When I put them back on for the hike back, I didn't have any problems with the sand. So I wouldn't plan to actually wear them in the water on a sandy beach. They dry super fast, though. The other thing is that the bottom has a lot of holes, so although they're lightweight, they collect rocks in the holes. Oh, and mud. I haven't tried rinsing them or anything just yet, but I'm sure I can get them clean. They just came home looking really dirty :)

These are packed with surprising features. Great cushion and arch support! They don’t exactly have an insole but the green piece is glued down and I expect it to come up at some point. You can wrap your fingers & lift it up slightly. They fit great. There is some give but not a lot. That said these are 8.5 women’s and I take a wide width (the ball of my foot is 4”) and they are comfortable. I was surprised how fast they dry.I bought them for an upcoming cruise in the Caribbean for walking on land and in water. They’ve been great around my home and outside and in the pool. The body is glued to toe sole with waterproof silicone, the holes in the bottom allow for it’s great drying time and water drainage however, watch those rocks getting stuck and twigs poking through. But the holes do have some depth to protect you.I will save these for my vacation. Afterward I will be curious to see how long they last. I expect about 6 months given the materials used. I am in the pool every other day and walk 3 miles in our lazy river. For those who won’t abuse them as much as I will they will likely last longer. The biggest issue is measure your feet & use the sizing chart. These are a great little water shoe with more support to stabilize your foot. I gave them a 4 because I feel the construction could be a little better for the price.

FOR ANYONE NEEDING TO WALK ON SLIPPERY, SHARP ROCKS OR any ROUGH WATER BOTTOM & WATER BANK OF ANY KIND, THIS SHOE IS EXCELLENT.Because this water shoe is so excellent at its basic requirements, I went up to 5 stars instead of down to 4.--The tread is totally great! Ive had many water shoes. I bought a worthless Cabella water shoe last river trip (not a pool sock) and the tread was 85 % demolished in 3 days and worthless. I just returned from hiking a mountain river daily for weeks and these soles dont have one nick!--i love they dry quicker than any other water shoe Ive ever had.--Unlike every other water shoe Ive had (including Niki's) the inner sole has never slipped.--I worried about this shoe being a tad too large--but it grips my foot perfectly while the extra room, thanks to the clever angle, allow for a quick on & off--which is also just great with a wet shoe.--It also looks good--which tho the least of my needs, pleases me.The One Con:--the tread has deep, diamond holes of many sizes, and actually catches one perfect fitting rock or pebble inside nearly every hole. This does not affect the shoes great function at all--but those rocks can scratch any indoor floor you might walk on. I just took 20 pebbles out of holes in the bottom of each sole. The tread is so absolutely great for ocean, river & rough trail walking--but needs a little rubber nub inside each hole to prevent the huge collection of gravel it picks up. Rock removal takes just few minutes.

Great water shoes and used for hiking around Kauai to the waterfalls. Most waterfalls are so slippery and muddy hikes so I actually first hiked there in my regular bear claw hiking shoes and I had these clipped off my bag. You can't switch your shoes mid way because water and mud is literally the whole hike at one point you are even knee deep. But it was nice to have a light weight second pair I could rely on. Then as we arrived I swam around in these since the rocks at the bottom are slippery and some sharp. Then was able to hike back in them and hang my muddy old shoes. These get covered in mud and water pretty well and drain fast. I almost contemplated wearing socks because one of my toes was a little scratched by inside material but I was also going down hill in them (maybe I'd switch that next time) and my feet were pruned from water already. They had weird traction but nothing that ever made me slip...even when crossing streams or wet cliffs sides. I then wore these kayaking and more hiking later in my trip and beach time to prevent anything sharp on my feet. The insides eventually came out I think from all my rough and tough activities but I kept them and still wearing them next time we do a water activity but maybe I will look for some sort of sock. Quality is great for the price and we even thought if they were destroyed after a week of hiking, I would toss them but they are back home. Highly recommend.

The look and quality of these shoes is more than acceptable. Unfortunately I am having trouble wearing them and thus docked a couple of stars. I ended up with broken skin on both feet when using them for water walking ... am still waiting for my feet to heal after several days. They seem to fit well and not too tight (or loose), so am not sure that going up a size will help (plus the additional cost of buying another pair of shoes that might end up being a waste of money. Maybe I just have ultra-tender skin. Don't want to deter others from buying these ... I really do want to like them and be able to use them. I will update this review later if I can eventually be able to get them to work out for me.Updated 11/20/17 I have added a star to my review. For a week I have now used these water shoes with thin socks and my feet are holding up to the shoes. I feel they are a good shoe, but still cannot in good conscience give them a 5-star rating since I expected to be wearing these barefoot in the water rather than having to wear socks.

Bought four of these for my family for our river hike. They are comfortable and the bottoms are thick enough that they protect your feet. Sand does get in but not as much as other sandals or shoes. Now for sizing, I think it really depends on your foot shape. If your feet tend to be narrow or slim, I'd go with your size. If you have wider feet go a half size up. If you feel your feet are average then go your size or half up. I usually wear a 7,5 or 8, and decided to get the 7.5 because I was worried that the shoe would be too loose. Now these shoes don't have much stretch so for wider feet I recommend a half size bigger. The 7.5 fit me well but I noticed that they hurt my pinky toe and big toe because over time your feet swells a bit. Especially since I wore these in the water, they felt tighter. If I were to order these again, I'd get an 8 only to allow a little more room to stretch my toes. My mom has very slim feet and she usually wears a 6.5. However she got a 7 thinking the extra room would help. Although the length of the shoe felt comfortable for her, she had to wear socks because the sides were a bit loose.

Beautiful, charming, modern. I read all the product description and it is it like I read. As I intend to walk with it and not use it as a water shoes, I bought a number bigger (I could've bought a half size bigger) because I wanted it to be super comfortable and to have plenty support. I bought a gel soft pad for people with plantar fasciitis. This gel pad got perfect in it. I.had to cut the gel a bit to fit the shoe. Not that these shoes are too much uncomfortable without it, but as these are water shoes you can get plantar fasciitis - pain in your heel - if you inted to exercise walking everyday for 3 miles as I have been doing. I walk these 3 miles a day with my dog, and it's being a real pleasure to have this daily activity with him and keep healthy. I have my tennis shoes, but I was using a sports shoes without the help of the rebounding effect as the gel pads offer or like my tennis shoes, all because I had the most charming modern Lady Jane Sporty one. But it was not made for hiking. Therefore I got this pain in my heals or as it is called "plantar fasciitis". It hurts when you first awake, and during the day it gets ok. Anyway, I love shoes, and I can't resist the most charming ones when I see them. I consider this shoes a very charming one. My husband saw it today in my feet and had to make a fattering comment. This is not his natural mode, but I knew it. I know it. When I truly start using it in my daily errands people will make flattering comments, if they are normal people. It has another requirement though. Its These so practical. You slide your feet into it and you are ready to go. I could already notice today in home today, using it with the gel lad.that these shoes are breathable like is written in the product description. For me this is especially a goog thing, because my first movement whem I get home with non breathable shoes is to take them out. I didn't do this today.
