I have a narrow heel but I could cinch them up so that my heel didn't slide. There's a faint odor when you receive them and remove them from their plastic bag but it goes away after a day at the beach. I kept them in a airtight plastic bag in the luggage on the trip out. Comfortable to walk in. They drained water nicely while walking in the surf.”
