“These snow boots remind me of the snow boots that come out every year at most mall anchor stores.Impressions:Sizing:I'm an 11-11.5, depending on the type of shoes I'm wearing. These fit exactly like almost every snow boot I've ever owned. They're just barely oversized enough to wear thick wool socks and the boots not fit too tightly.Quality:As I said above, these are very much like the snow boots that come out every year at upscale mall anchor stores. In other words, they're not going to last 5+ years, but they'll hold up fine for 2-3 years.Comfort:These boots are very comfortable. There's nice give to the soles, while still being supportive. The uppers of the boots are plenty supportive.Waterproof:I put these on and walked through a rocky stream, and they remained dry inside. I'd put the waterproof level at the top of the ankle.Warmth:I've only had these out once in somewhat cold weather (29° low). My feet were so hot, my socks ended up soaked. Again, these are extremely similar to typical snow boots. Short of severe negative temperatures, your feet aren't getting cold wearing these boots.Overall:There's nothing special about these snow boots. However, they're rock solid, dependable snow boots. Your feet aren't going to get cold wearing these, or wet, short of you snow shoeing in them. They're well worth the premium I saw listed.I'm subtracting 1 star because the traction could be slightly more aggressive. Outside of that, I have no bones with these boots.Highly recommended4 starsCheers!”
“I live in Northern Wisconsin and you simply can't get through the year without a great pair of winter boots. These boots have all the features you want to keep your feet nice and warm in the harshest of conditions. In order to stay warm, your feet have to stay dry. These boots have a rubber outer covering that goes up over the ankle. The boots come up to about mid-shin which keeps snow from getting into your boot from the top.The boots have a nice, snug fit that does not create any hot spots. Hot spots are pressure points that inhibit circulation and lead to cold feet. These boots are perfect for everything from sitting in a deer stand, to hiking through the woods, to shoveling your driveway. The non-slip soles provide you with secure footing even in snow and ice. They perform well and look great. These are very nice winter boots.”
“So these are clunkers in the sense that they are big boots, probably designed to fit thick socks for winter. They didn't focus a lot of padding the base of the boot for two logical reasons (likely) - The first reason being, you're likely to use these in snow. The second being you're likely to be wearing thick socks when you're using them. These factors considered, to me it is evident they focused the construction of these shoes on the exterior, and the actual quality of the heating elements.Overall, these boots make sense, and I'm glad I have them for the winter.”
“These are just about everything that you'd want in a quality winter boot, with only a minor issue or two. The insulation is good, maybe even a bit thicker than expected. Will keep your feet toasty, although you may want to consider ordering a half size up if you happen to wear a size and a half (normally wear an 11.5 get a 12). Really good traction for the soles. They're surprisingly lightweight, and don't have that "bulky" feel to them. All while not really sacrificing quality, they're noticeably durable and reliable. The only minor exception to that would be the lace holders seem to be a tiny bit loose, so I'd exercise caution when lacing them up. Only thing I would have liked to see different is a removable waterproof thermal liner that also covers the laces. Not a dealbreaker on getting these, but it would have been a plus. Time will tell how well these will hold up, particularly as they get more use in the colder months, but so far I like them.”
“These boots are VERY comfortable. The interior lining is incredibly soft and super warm - it feels like your foot just slips right into a pillowy, warm cave. They're also very well made with quality materials - the seams are tight and the stitching is done well. They fit true to size and there's plenty of extra length of the laces to make it as loose or as tight as you want. When winter and the snow hits the city, the streets and sidewalks are soaked with small-to-midsize puddles and curbside river rapids on every street corner, and with everything covered in a black and white mix of slush that utterly destroy regular shoes and boots. These boots will make the trek so much more tolerable and I would highly recommend getting these to keep your feet dry and warm.”
