I like the feeling of walking barefoot, but having my feet protected from the road.

I’ve put probably 25 miles in these shoes since I got them. You can wear them with or without socks. The back rubs a little bit so you might get a blister like I did. Socks prevent that. Sometimes if I’m just running somewhere really quick I skip the socks. I’ve got ankle problems and wanted a low heeled shoe that was similar to being barefoot and these hit the mark. The soles are thin which is fine for most applications. If you curb stomp a brick (like I did yesterday) expect it to hurt. You can also feel rocks and such under your feet but it doesn’t hurt if you’re just walking. They’re very breathable so expect damp toes if you walk through grass. The laces are not stretchy, which caught me by surprise because I have Merrill’s with the same lace-up style that are elastic but it works.Wear socks while you break them in like you do with any sneaker/trainer type shoes. The insoles also pop out when you take them off if your feet are sweaty or you wore them for a while barefoot

These were too hard to get on, had no support, and were ugly.

Love these shoes. I have been a minimalist runner for the past 10 years or so, and have used several brands of shoes. I love my Merrell Trail Gloves for walking but when running, they make an annoying slapping sound that I hate. These Aleaders don't do that. It might be because the outsole is softer rubber, which i don't think will hold up very long, but, hey, they were $36 not $90, so... The forefoot is nice and wide, the heel is narrow and form-fitting. I like the tie-less laces.TLDR, these shoes are comfortable, don't make annoying sounds, probably won't last more than a year, but are cheap. I would buy again.

These are my second pair of minimist shoes and I must say I love them. I’m actually getting the other colors because I like them that much. I did order a half size up because I personally like a little bit of give at my toes otherwise I think they would fit like a glove. I get a lot of compliments and people are in Aw at the price.

The most comfortable shoe I've ever worn! Absolutely love these. Has nice space in the toes, so they aren't crammed in. I have wide feet, and it seems like any shoes I've ordered in the past, always have to go through a break in period before they fit comfortably. Was overjoyed these were so comfortable, it doesn't even seem like I'm wearing anything at all. Highly recommend.
