“I love these shoes! I got a pair to go on a cruise 2 years ago. Great in sand or water or just walks on hot days to keep the feet cool. I wore them out over the past 2 years because I wear them a lot at lake and river. Going on another cruise in another month, so I decided to get 2 more pairs! Did I mention I love these!”
“Took these out to Hawaii last week and loved them. Perfect for random/different terrain and grips well for uphill hikes. This was recommended on a random Google site and I don’t regret it”
“These are great shoes for launching my fishing kayak. Great drainage so my feet don't feel squishy wet and very comfortable. Not to mention they have excellent grip on the boat ramp.”
“I bought these to be used as backpacking camp shoes during a future thru-hike. Size 12 weighs 12-1/8 oz with the insoles, or 10-7/8 oz without the insoles. That's less than 5-1/2 oz per shoe! They are all mesh uppers, which appear to be synthetic. I'm hoping this will encourage airflow and help my feet to air out.Unlike sandals, they should keep the debris out. A sole like a waffle fry will allow water to drain quickly, as well as provide additional airflow. My only concern is that the waffle soles could trap a lot of dirt, mud, and pebbles. I also don't know how durable they will be due to their extremely lightweight materials.Overall I am impressed at their light weight and comfort for the price!3/12 UPDATE: I now use these as house shoes, for which they work great. Very light, comfortable, ventilated, quick on and off. But there are two main drawbacks:The waffle sole keeps your feet ventilated and cool, but also traps small stones and other debris. They also will allow water up inside the shoe if you step in even a shallow puddle. So as long as you don't wear them outside, they're fine. The reason I deducted one star is because they do not dry quickly AT ALL! I hand washed mine and set them out to dry overnight; they were just as wet the next morning! I expect them to take a full 2 days to dry at room temperature in average humidity (30%-40%). This makes them far less useful as "water shoes" to take on vacation, because once they get wet you will be wearing wet shoes for the rest of your trip.”
