This is BRILLIANT!!? Put simply, we have an enthusiastic young musician... Brass...!!! Much talent... Seriously loud!!!! With the additional cables, background accompanying music can be played. As the musician, amazing! As the parents listening, wow!!! Brass goes from hurting ears to listening to a marvelous concert on the telly. Can't recommend enough. 5*.

Waited months for the mute to be restocked but i now have it , it's great . I can now practice whenever i want including late in the evening and i don't bother anyone . The sound i get through my headphones is better than the earlier silent mute i use on my cornet . Just as a footnote , the mute does , just , fit my Baritone , so i can play that as well . A super mute to use , i'm very happy with it .

Sound-wise, it does its job. However, it could be much better from a practical use and manufacturing quality point of view. The very thin earphone and mute leads get intertwined and snag on parts of the instrument, and on the mute system itself. I had to change these for more sturdy ones and an inexpensive set of headphones. At the very least, around £270 in the UK for the euphonium model, Yamaha could have provided decent ones in the first place. Moreover, this is 2021, and Bluetooth audio is called for. The Personal Studio is a very flimsy item, and its battery cover keeps coming off because the battery compartment is not deep enough. This does not feel secure on a belt and, unlike the immediately earlier version, there is no dog-lead-type fastener to fix onto a belt loop on a trouser. Not a well-thought-through product, or great value for money, in my opinion.
