“A very useful book for beginners to use throughout December! It includes initial stages of simple melodies between alternating hands through to hands together, with some basic shifts/extensions in the right hand. The use of this book can also be extended for intermediate students, by playing the many accompaniments. I feel that the 'classic look' of this book would benefit from modernising to make it appeal more to younger players, however, none of my students seem to have been put off by this - the content, itself, draws them in! I also feel it would benefit from guitar chords to be added over the accompaniments to give greater versitility (I have added these in myself!) and that many students would appreciate the choice of an edition with cd/downloadable audio tracks for optional accompaniments. I would definitely recommend this book!”
