“I have played a Yamaha 8310z trumpet for 8 years now and have been very pleased with it. I was about to send it away for refurbishment when the Coronavirus lockdown kicked in which put a stop to it. Having time to research during the lockdown, I learned that there is now an updated model series 2 generation 3 which I ordered from Ackerman Music in May 2020. The instrument is even more easy to blow than the original model, has a richer, more resonant tone and 'slots in' more precisely. The only minor downside is that the valves are a bit rattly compared to the original. The "felts" appear to be a more rigid material, so changing these at a later date may improve them.”
