“Not sure what the professional set up entailed, but the Viola needed tuning on arrival, it did not appear to have had anything done to it, the advert suggested that the strings had been upgraded, however when I enquired prior to purchase, I was informed that it came with basic steel strings. But at the end of the day it was free, so can't complain.”

Hi Nick, Our set up on this would involve shaping the pegs so they fit correctly and also shaping the bridge so it sits on the body in the right place. It can take an hour or two but we like to make sure our instruments are playable right out of the case. Unfortunately the tuning can slip on this in transit to the customer and may take a few days to settle on arrival. Kind regards
