“Compared to the eternity version, essential is a little bit more flat looking but does the job for making the flooring look fab either way. I mean, good for the bedroom when you want less creaking and more yoga ahaha. Doubt you'd get any splinters from these considering the price.”

“I had a really great experience getting good quality floor boards for my heated flooring system (engineered flooring). Didn’t expect such a low price. Also no need to glue the floor down as I thought I would have to do because there is no movement that I expected to be. Samples were provided to show off the quality of the flooring and seeing the true colour allowed me to select the correct shade. Great value for money spent.”

“Really good effect flooring once laid but definitely need the proper wacker tool as tough to engage. Some boards were very bowed even though I climatized to the room for 2 weeks flat before laying. I hate mdf and didn't realise that one end of the board is mdf. Just hope it doesn't lift over time. 4 out of 5 as some issues. Not the best floor I've laid.”

“This product arrived quickly, on the day and at the time given, which is always a welcome event. We were given time to inspect all the boxes. We were laying a replacement floor throughout the hall, living room and dining room: the guide to measurement on the website was helpful and we were left with only one unused box of boards out of 17 when we finished. As with laying any floor, you need to follow the instructions: acclimatise the boards, use the correct tools and read the guidance carefully. This was the first time we had used engineered wood - you really do need to get a 30 degree angle when inserting the tongue into the groove. The diagram provided shows this clearly and once you do that the boards are easy to manoeuvre and this is important when lining up the tongue and groove at the end. We found that when correctly lined up, and with careful use of mallet and block, these boards can be connected so that the join is virtually invisible, something we never achieved with other boards. (Please note that this is a 3 strip floor so there are meant to be lines on the photos). Because these boards are wood, and go in at a 30 degree angle, you will find some boards may seem reluctant to lower towards the floor without loud creaking: hold your nerve, apply steady pressure across the length of the board and press down. Don't be afraid to apply a strong mallet blow - not directly to the board - to really close any gaps between boards. The overall finished look is exactly what we wanted and we feel the quality of the product for the price was excellent (there was a Spring reduction on offer for these boards) and we would highly recommend them and the supplier”

“I am so pleased with my new flooring! Very happy I found this company and from the start they were really helpful; I spoke to someone before I placed my order and even though it was 5pm when they closed he was really helpful and took time to talk me through the delivery options. I was contacted the next day to arrange my two hour delivery time slot and kept informed of when it was due to arrive. The carpenter that fitted the flooring said it was easy to work with and the end result looks great. Thank you discount flooring depot :-)”

“I ordered a sample of the flooring which came quickly and really helped as you can't see the quality of the flooring on the internet, ordering was very easy, picked a day for it to come, it arrived and the pallet network left it right outside my door and was well packed. The wood flooring itself is sturdy and an excellent finish, instruction are easy to follow and overall very pleased with the whole experience.”
