“I ordered samples of the smoked oak flooring and they arrived very quickly without any hassle at all. Simples, easy and quick. The samples are approximately 100mm square in size although I would recommend ordering more than one sample as it's perhaps not enough to really visualise the look of the material when placing it where it will be laid. The samples seem to be of reasonable quality and are certainly enough to test against any expected wear and tear. In regards to the colour of this specific wood, I felt like the wood grain is a lot harder to see compared with the images online. It looks like a light grey but without more detail in the grain, it's hard to distinguish this as oak. Again, this is something that in my experience always looks different when looking at a wider covered area from a normal high rather than up close. That's why I'd recommend ordering more samples to give you a better idea. Overall, despite the slightly more grey finish of the wood than expected, the sample and wood were certainly enough to help us move forward in deciding what to go for. Hope this helps!”
