I stumbled across this set when I was looking at some toy releases. As an 80s kid who's family never had enough money to purchase branded toys, I now sometimes indulge when I see something interesting and this Transformer set with Twincast the boombox and cassette robot Rewind just instantly drew me in. The size of the main robot is excellent, you can really grapple with him to turn him from boombox to robot and each twist is satsifying yet reassuring because of the build quality in the joints. The design is fabulous and the ronot looks brilliant in either form, especially if you have the little cassette robot Rewind posed popping out of the deck on his chest. The colours are eyecatching and retro enough but the whole set is really coherent and nice to display. There are loads of lovely little details too such as the sprockets on Rewind and his translucent grey colouring like old skool cassettes. Twincast has panels on his legs that rotate to look like aerodynamic detailing or speaker cones, you can move pieces to hide various elements and his deck has a springloaded eject button which is so satsufying to pop open. I love these guys, and they are displayed proudly in my room, I am not a Transformers collector by any means but I know what I like and this set is so nicely thought through and is left field enough to appeal to me. Bargainmax also made the purchase really smooth, easy and cost effective so I didn't regret a moment of my slightly frivolous purchase. Delivery was good value and the toys arrived packed well in an outer cardboard sleeve.
