“i signed up for 4 weeks of courses, and got one week free...i started with the 2 week joinery course and it was spot on. Had a good laugh with Scott the whole 2 weeks and learned the basics in the first week, and second week made myself a 6 foot garden gate to bring home, and learned how to make a roof, as well as a few other things i asked Scott to help me learn. Nothing was too much trouble for him, he even noticed how disorganised i am and recommended a tool belt as i kept losing my tools every 30 seconds. I'll be back for the kitchen fitting week with Scott next month, as well as doing a week tiling and a week plastering.....hopefully i'll be able to do all the little jobs on my rental property going forwards and won't have to rely on unreliable builders or get ripped off for the jobs i'll be able to do. Looking forward to getting back and completing that last 3 weeks!”

“Just finished the 10-day joinery course in Bradford and, as the saying goes, it does exactly what it says on the tin! Scott the instructor is helpful, friendly, with a hands-off approach that encourages you to get the most out of your time. A great experience that I would recommend to anyone looking for a jump-start in joinery and basic carpentry.”

“I need to leave a review of the 5 day plumbing course i attended at YTA normally i wouldn't bother as i don't think anyone reads them however i can honestly say hand on heart that the instructor Paul is fantastic, He is full of knowledge and can answer any question put to him at anytime aswell as showing you lots of little tips and tricks that make the job easier and save you time and money with a better end result. I.E Fancy bending techniques and when and where to use ptfe to name a few. all these things i learned will inevitably stand me in good stead for the future whilst saving my employer money. Thank you PAUL”

“Attended 10 day NOCN Cskills Level 1 Accredited Carpentry and Joinery Course in November 2024. Excellent course with immediate practical applications on-the-job. Friendly, supportive trainer with years of direct experience in carpentry and joinery. Well-paced learning, with honest assessments of skill and progress along the way, and opportunities to try out tasks and equipment beyond the accreditation units.”

“I attended the 5 day joinery course last week. The tutor Scott was great, and I learned a lot throughout the week. Scott is an experienced tradesman, as well as a teacher. Because of this, he was able to explain how the skills learned on the course can be transferred to site environment. The work areas provide enough space for learning, but also encourage you to be sociable with other people on the course. The other tutors were also really helpful, but credit to Scott in particular. I booked to learn new skills, and feel that I definitely achieved this. I would recommend YTA to others.”

“Did a 5 day joinery course and thoroughly enjoyed it. Scott was extremely helpful and didn't mollycoddle us, but was there if needed. I learnt alot and am looking forward too putting my new skills to the test. He was super patient, especially with another student proving to be quite entitled and difficult. “I have to admit I have never done any plumbing before so I was a little nervous about doing the 5 day plumbing course. But I have to admit it was great. The tuition was first rate, loads of tips and patience that I managed to finish the bathroom and radiators. Thank you, YTA for a great week that was relaxed and definitely taught me loads but mainly gave me the confidence to have a go and I have already started to use what we were taught and l plan on coming back and doing the plastering course.”

“Very much enjoyed the course, 20 mins in on the first day and we were using the hand tools to make different joints. The speed was good moving onto the next step as soon as we were ready. Matt was very knowledgeable, sharing his expertise and experience with customers in his trade. Felt fully competent by the end of the 5 days teaching.”

“An excellent course, great instruction from Dave and a good range of skills taught and a decent sized bay to learn how to plaster walls and a ceiling. I spent some time looking on the internet for a suitable course and am very pleased I came to Bradford from Wiltshire (I stayed at a reasonable travel lodge down the road). I’ve subsequently plastered a few rooms at home. The course has given me the confidence to do this and I’m very happy with the results. I bought an orbital sander to remove any small marks but I’m definitely getting better with more practice.”

“I can't speak highly enough of this course and the people that teach here, we are a small family business that continued to be let down by plasterers. After completing the 2 weeks course at YTA we now have eliminated a massive issue for our business but equally offered our customers top quality plastering thanks to the YTA team. I learned every aspect of plastering in detail and at the end of the course I left with great confidence on walking in to most rooms being able to complete the job. Thank you to the YTA team and in particular Dave who was brilliant all the way through.”
