I completed the yta plastering course for 2 weeks. I learnt everything about plastering and the lecturer Dave was excellent. I also completed the CITB level one unit, which is very useful when advertising for business. If you want an all round course in plastering for 2 weeks with a qualification, its a great course to do. Very good value for money. Thank you YTA

From the first point of contact with graham over the phone I found YTA excellent! When I arrived I felt really welcome and no question was too small or stupid to dave (my instructor on the plastering course 5 day intensive) which was great as I was a total beginner! From the first day we were doing practical hands on learning!! Over the 5 days I believe that I have learnt The correct way to plaster and although I will improve with practice I now have the platform to start my own business with confidence and skills required!! Not at any time was I under pressure to buy any materials even though YTA do sell different products if students require them!! If you want a trade and your willing to put the effort in I would strongly recommend using YTA!!

I opted for the 4 week Multi Skilled course (Plumbing, Tiling, Carpentry and Joinery, Kitchen Fitting) and I thoroughly enjoyed my time throughout. The staff were very friendly and informative when teaching and flexible with my personal commitments. Highly recommended!!!

The course was informative, interesting and very useful. Graham explained things fully and made it easy to understand. I like the fact that there are only 4 people on each course. Any more than this then I think it would become less personal and overcrowded. I would highly recommend this course to anyone wishing to gain some plumbing knowledge and improve their skill base.

It is an excellent practical plumbing course, brilliant to give you all the confidence for your own jobs at home and pays back your investment very quickly. The tuition is perfect, progressing through the different stages at a good pace, but never leaving you feel you cannot do it; you discover yourself what you are able to achieve, more than you anticipated! You have to want it, a desire to be successful beyond the course, and all this exponential learning becomes very inspiring as a chosen career too. You will get all the answers to your questions, it is a truly trustworthy piece of teaching by a professional. You will not lose your time and only wish you had more time to learn additional skills they have on offer. Laetitia

I recently attended the 5 day intensive carpentry course and it was great. Connor, our instructor, was extremely capable and led the activities at a pace to suit everyone. We were also able to practise areas of specific interest to assist with any projects we had on the goor were planning. Whilst I did ask lots of questions, many of which were no doubt very obvious, I didn't once feel silly and Connor was very patient! Anyone who is looking to develop and enhance their skills in joinery should give the course a go, even if you've already got the basics you will no doubt learn from Connor's experience. A great course and I'm now considering which of their other courses to do. Thanks guys.

I spent a fantastic four weeks with YTA completing 10 days carpentry and joinery, five days plastering and five days plumbing. I learned a great deal. From the basics of the different disciplines through their practical application and numerous integral tips and tricks to allow me to complete jobs efficiently and to a high standard. The boys; Connor, Dave and Graham are very professional, knowledgeable, helpful and a good laugh. I was never pressured in to paying for anything I did not need. Originally I had planned to complete the CITB Level One assessment but as my financial circumstances changed before I began the course I decided against the qualification. Graham was very understanding of this and I was able to complete the courses I wanted with the budget I had. The four weeks for the price of three offer is incredibly good value, I can not recommend it highly enough. I now feel very confident in my ability to work domestically and commercially in all three trades I have been taught. The nature of the practical hands on learning I received was perfect for the way I wanted to learn. I wanted a way to learn practical skills quickly so I could get out in to the world and make the most of the financial investment I was making. YTA promised to deliver that and I am happy to say they have, to a very high standard.

Excellent 5 day multi skills course, the tutors were knowlegble, friendly and great at explaining how to do things the right way. Already planning when I can do my next course and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to either top up their skills, learn new ones or just want to get better at doing it themselves.

Completed my carpentry nvq level 2 through the ewpa route with yta training and found it to be beyond my expectations, staff were friendly and inviting and very professional to work with from start to finish, without this kind of coarse i would not be back on site doing what i love. Thank you yta and i will be back again to learn something new.

I recently completed my EWPA at YTA, and was impressed with not just the facilities, but also the efficiency of how YTA operates. At every stage, from my first initial enquiry call to receiving my qualification, I was kept up to date and supported. I would like to thank Graham and Jon and also Dave the plastering assessor. Thanks lads.

Recently completed a 5 day plumbing coarse with YTA training. I can honestly say the training and support I received was first class. I was shown the very basics right up to Level 2 at a very steady pace, that was easy to understand. For anyone wanting to train in another trade or even upgrade on your existing level, with a qualification at the end of the training, speak to these guys. It makes a nice change to train with some good lads and not an assessor that is full of BS!! Great Job Graham Thank very much A Brown

Did 2 courses one was the 5 day intensive Plumbing course and the other a CITB unit in wall tiling. I have used both sets of skills since completing the course, changing a bathroom around and tiling a small area ( bath sidepanel). I did both projects with more confidence than I had before and, as a result of these excellent courses, have started my own business in Plumbing and Tiling. Only part time at the moment but hopefully this will lead to being fully self employed. These courses were well run with no real pressure on anyone, both Jon and Graham are well experienced and can get a point across easily. The atmosphere is relaxed and the craic good with loads of laughs along the way. If you are looking for a diy course or to take it up professionally then yta is the place for you! By the way, look out for flyers for DWC Services (daryl_dwcservices@yahoo.co.uk). Sorry Jon and Graham but couldn't resist the plug!!!

I have recently completed 5 weeks of training at YTA (plumbing, tiling and plastering). I attended the course with an open mind having been told I wouldn’t be able learn critical aspects of the trade in these courses. Anyone who said this to me has now been proven wrong. I was taught above and beyond what I, family or friends was expecting. The courses are all run at pace to suit you. If you are slower than others don’t worry they will work with you and you will accomplish the course and your own goals, on the other hand if you seem to excel then they will challenge you further. All courses are run with you in mind, I personally had requests of jobs that I wanted to learn and specific goals, YTA incorporated this into the program and make sure all students leave the courses with the knowledge they require. 5 weeks ago I hadn’t picked up a plastering hawk, a trowel, a tile or tackled any form of plumbing job, now I have the skills and confidence to do all. A big thanks to Graham, Jon and Connor.

I attended a one day "taster" course, which was fantastic. It was tailored to cover what I wanted to do, which was basic home maintenance issues - rather than finding out about a trade/ qualification. We covered basic plumbing including leaks that are simple to fix without incurring call out charges and also some joinery including putting up shelves and using drills. It was really helpful and interesting. The staff that worked with us were friendly, professional and helpful. I would recommend this to anyone!

Fantastic taster day learning a variety of techniques in plumbing and joinery that will stand me in good stead for doing tasks at home without having to rely on my dad or paying a fortune out to tradesmen. The instructors were wonderful and did not make you feel silly when you didn't know anything. I would highly recommend them for people of all abilities.
