Great pace of learning and given all the tools and support to practice things throughout the week. “I loved my time on this course. I only had time to do the 5 day joinery course, but really wish I'd have been able to stay for an extra week! The tutor/student ratio was excellent and we cracked through quite a lot of different skills in our time there. The place was friendly, relaxed and well equipped, and it would recommend it to anyone looking to boost their skills. What stood out to me as an endorsement for YTA was how many of the guys were on their 2nd or 3rd course there...this says a lot! Thanks chaps; I hope to be back with you again when I can :-)”

“Training: Very good, being trained by tradesmen with lots of experience. Equipment: Very good, all provided. Location: Very good, easy to find. Environment: Very good, H&S concious, relaxed atmosphere, easy going. Get out what you put in. Ask a question any time, you get an answer, always prepared to help & advise. Parking: Very good, no problem, free. Tea/coffee: very good, provided free.”

“I have never plastered in my life and I have to say the first 3 days was a struggle for me ! The course is quite fast paced - I certainly never expected day 2 to see me doing a ceiling as my first ever attempt as plastering !! By the end of the 5 days I was feeling much more comfortable about plastering in general and could see the major improvements since my first attempt - I'm very pleased I booked on to the course and would recommend it to anyone who fancies trying plastering in an environment where you can be taught how to do it properly !”

“I have done quite a bit of tiling so this course was more for me to make sure I was doing everything right and to fill in the gaps to help me move from DIY tiling to a "true" commercial tiler ! It did this well ! Personally I would have liked more hands-on experience of grouting but Jon did let me stay later on the last day to do an extra section of tiles just for further practice which was extremely useful - great course - thank you !”

“After getting ridiculous quotes for a new bathroom fitted I decided I wanted to do it myself. With having no experience in tiling or plumbing I got In touch with yorkshire tiling acadamy & signed up for a 2 week tiling course & a weeks plumbing course, with taking the 2 courses out together I got a weeks plastering course for free. I found all 3 courses to be very helpful in setting me up to do my own bathroom. I have now got the confidence to take out my old bathroom & replace it with a new one fully tiled & plumbed . I would like to thank John & graham of yta for everything they did for me to achieve this project . Cheers lads . Chris”

“I did the 10 day CITB carpentry and joinery. Kish was a fantastic trainer the lessons went at my pace and I now feel very confident in the trade with the skills I have learnt. The whole team at yta are very friendly and knowledgable in their trades. One thing that really stands out to me is their genuine interest in the future success of every trainee and ongoing support even after the course ended. I will absolutely be back to learn more skills thank you YTA!!”

“I completed the 10 days CITB Wall and Floor Tiling course at YTA Training. The course content covered everything we needed to know to launch our tiling business. John and Graham were excellent trainers with lots of personal experience of tiling. I would definitely recommend them and hope to do more courses in the future.”

“I attended the yta 10 day plastering course in feb 2014. I certainly wouldnt go to college and learn a trade for years when these lads at the yta can teach you in a few week and you get a recognised qualification!! The money i spent on the course i earned back within a week and in the last 6 month ive done over 20 paid jobs of my own and have also worked on pub refurbs with high class plastering firms, no complaints from anyone ive done work for - they think ive been doing it years!! DONT BE PUT OFF BY OTHER TRADE PEOPLE SAYING YOU CANT LEARN IN THAT TIME - I CAN TELL YOU - YOU CAN LEARN IN THAT TIME!! IVE PROVED MORE THAN ONE PERSON WRONG - IVE TAKEN STICK OFF OTHER PLASTERERS WHEN I TURNED UP ON SITE AND TOLD THEM I JUST STARTED A WEEK AGO - THEY THOUGHT NO WAY ITS TAKEN ME YEARS AND YOU RECKON YOUR A PLASTERER AFTER 2 WEEKS!! I PISSED ON THIER BONFIRE!!! THANKS YTA!!!!”

“Highly recommend and a fantastic place to learn a new trade, catering for everybody's skill level. Their calm, methodical and friendly approach makes training extremely enjoyable helping you grow in confidence quickly. After learning the plumbing course and plastering course I have successfully installed radiators, removed and moved piping around my house, plastered walls and fitted a kitchen saving me hundreds of pounds. I've even been asked to do jobs for family and friend! Thank you Gratham and Jon for putting up with me then and for now when I pop down for more advice! Cheers!!”

“I attended a 1 week joinery course at YTA Training Centre at Bradford on arrival the staff were more than helpful and really friendly , the training is spot on and also hands on i really enjoyed the course and learnt alot more than i already knew but learnt the correct and easier way of doing things . “I went on the 5 day plumbing course and it was excellent. Very hands on and practical which, in my opinion, is the best way to learn. Graham was a fantastic teacher and offered great advice on the business side of things as we went along. I have now set up my own property maintenance business which includes plumbing which is all thanks to YTA. If you're wanting to learn plumbing in a week then this is the course for you.”

“Superb week ! The course was brilliant and very well taught. All the hands-on work was just what was required and I'll be putting it into practice on Monday morning when I swap a radiator and then fit an outside tap. I can't recommend it highly enough to anyone wanting to get some first class plumbing skills and knowledge !!!”
